Charlie Holtz, the startup's co-founder and CEO, made the announcement in a blog post. He also revealed that the company's hosted Conductor Cloud, a sandbox for hosted agents, will go read-only on November 13 and shut down on November 20. Conductor, the eponymous company's macOS app for running multiple coding agents simultaneously in isolated copies of Git projects, will continue working for the next few months, and the biz expects to provide a way to transfer Conductor Cloud workspaces to local machines.
But in early 2027, Conductor will no longer receive new models or critical bug fixes. A Meta spokesperson confirmed that the acquisition will strengthen the company's developer-oriented AI capabilities but declined to elaborate further. Perhaps Conductor will play nicely with Muse Code, Meta's recently introduced coding agent.
